KICKSTARTER: The Eldritch Kid

(not final cover)

The Eldritch Kid is a weird western where every myth, magic and monster is real.

The Kid, a gunslinger sworn to Odin the god of death and sorcery, and his partner, Ten Shoes Dancing, the Oxford educated Lakota shaman, are drawn into a feud between two paleontologists. The eerie severed head of Othniel seeks revenge on his rival, the upstart woman Drinker, who has the bones of a rare dinosaur that would bring any scientist fame and fortune. But in a world where the dead can rise, even hundreds of millions of years later, grave robbing monsters is powerful dangerous work. And this particular dinosaur has a secret it took to it’s grave.

Gunsmoke, black magic, mad science and terrible Satanic secrets of the Thunder Lizards.

Eldritch Kid: Bone War, a graphic novel from Christian Read and Paul Mason.

This Kickstarter is for the complete 88+ page graphic novel by writer Christian Read [ELDRICH KID: WHISKY & HATE, KARNAK and UNMASKED] and artist Paul Mason [KID PHANTOM and SOLDIER LEGACY] as a hardcopy print book AND digital version.

The lineart is completed, with colours and letters underway on the second chapter (of four) now.

We have amazing artists lined up for each chapter cover, including:

  • The Amazing Nicola Scott (Wonder Woman, Black Magick)
  • The Stupendous Douglas Holgate (Last Kids on Earth, Zinc Alloy)
  • The Intriguing James Brouwer (The Deep, Justice League Beyond)
  • The Sensational Emily K Smith (Unmasked, Cleverman)

Risks and challenges

The line art is done, so the full story is already penciled and inked. Colours are 25% done by the amazing Justin Randall, famed for his work on Silent Hill, 30 Days of Night and Changing Ways.

Christian and Paul have released, complete, on time, half a dozen graphic novels each, such as The Soldier Legacy and the popular Kid Phantom series, Unmasked, Karnak and Eldritch Kid: Whisky and Hate.

We’re committed to the story and we’re really excited to bring it to you!

Our schedule sees the books being completed by May 2018 but we’ve listed the expected completion date as October 2018 just to allow time for any unforeseen issues/contingencies.
